Degree Transfer Program Extended

Our specialised Degree Transfer Programs are equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree at university. You can follow your path to a range of business, IT, computer science, science undergraduate degrees and more when you join the second year of university.
 

Program Benefits

  • You’ll be provided with English language and learning support to assist you while you’re studying the Degree Transfer Program.
  • As our graduate, you won’t be required to provide further evidence of your English language proficiency.
  • You’ll have the flexibility of studying a Degree Transfer Program in one of three formats: extended, standard or accelerated.

Develop a solid background in IT with a range of courses that cover foundational knowledge and lead you towards a preferred major. This degree offers flexibility to explore a range of interest areas – so you can chart your own path to success within the dynamic landscape of IT.

 

What you'll learn
 

During your first year of study, you will develop a solid foundation in core programming techniques, information technology systems and the principal elements of cyber security.  

Enjoy a modern and practical approach to your IT education, with opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom in real-world settings. 

First-year studies include Undergraduate Core and Universal Common Core courses such as Security Foundations, System Requirements and Problem Solving and Programming. These subjects are designed to broaden your knowledge across Information Technology principles. Common core courses across most of our IT degrees also provide you with the flexibility to switch between majors and receive credit for completed courses.  

With flexibility to choose your own courses, you’ll develop a broad range of knowledge and skills to enhance your career prospects. Select from topics in your areas of interest, including courses in: 

  • Networking
  • Cyber security
  • Games development 
  • Software development
  • Data analytics 

In your third year of study, you will be able to test these skills in a real-life environment by completing an industry-relevant ICT capstone project. 

You’ll be able to complete majority of first year common courses and second year courses at either our Adelaide City or Mawson Lakes Campus with some potential cross-campus study required. Throughout your degree, you’ll gain access to cutting-edge facilities across both campus locations to enhance your overall learning experience.

    Scholarships

    The University of Adelaide College International Scholarship rewards the international graduates of the University of Adelaide College.

     

    This scholarship is:

    • Available for graduates of the University of Adelaide College commencing at the University of Adelaide.
    • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand); and
    • Provides a waiver of 10% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the degree.

     

    Value
    The scholarship offers a 10% tuition fee reduction for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholar's chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

     

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

    • Be a graduate of the University of Adelaide College;
    • Have a University of Adelaide offer of admission (full offer or conditional offer) as a full-fee-paying international student;
    • Enrol in a full time study load for each study period of the degree;
    • Complete the acceptance process as outlined in your offer of admission.

    Note: Scholarship applicants who are eligible for more than one scholarship offered by the University of Adelaide will only be entitled to receive one scholarship (the highest value scholarship award for which they are eligible).

     

    Exclusions
    The following applicants are not eligible to receive these scholarships:

    • Current University of Adelaide students who are transferring from one degree to another prior to successful completion of their program of study (internal transfers)
    • Students who are recipients of a scholarship covering tuition fees awarded by a recognised scholarship awarding body such as a government ministry or department
    • Applicants for Masters by Research or Phd programs;
