The foundation year will introduce you to study at university and your chosen subject and help you develop subject knowledge and self-confidence.

Start your journey to become a sports therapist with a BSc Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation degree from Canterbury Christ Church University. Accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT), you’ll be able to register with this professional body upon completion of your degree and meeting certain course criteria, to kickstart your career in sport rehabilitation.

On our sports therapy course, you’ll engage with both practice and theory as you tackle topics such as anatomy, biomechanics, and musculature. This challenging and rewarding sport rehabilitation degree will give you the option to work in both simulated and real-world scenarios thanks to our blended learning structure and industry standard facilities in our state-of-the-art Verena Holmes building.

What’s more, you’ll be encouraged to take part in multiple sporting events to enhance your experience, knowledge, and practice. Past events include the London Marathon, Canterbury and Whitstable Runs and the Brighton Marathon. With us, you’ll be able to get fully involved in events like these, as well as working with charities, such as the Pilgrim’s Hospice, which will encourage you to practise your learning and skills.

Not only will you be able to work in these exciting events, but you’ll be able to work in our on-site teaching clinic, as well as completing multiple placements during your second and third years, so you can gain the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the world of work.
