Foundation Year Merit Scholarship

We offer a limited number of merit-based foundation year scholarships to students with excellent performance at high school level.

Who is eligible to apply?
Students whose high school qualification is insufficient for direct entry into our bachelor’s degrees.

EU/UK fee payers: €1,000

How to Apply

Along with the standard documents attached to your application, please submit a personal statement in which you motivate why you consider yourself eligible for a merit scholarship. To support your claim for the scholarship, you are encouraged to attach proof of extracurricular activities, awards, internships, etc.

You eligibility for the merit scholarship will be assessed only upon submission of your final high school qualification and the above mentioned personal statement.

BSc (Hons) Merit Scholarship - October 2025 intake

How to Apply: You will be automatically considered for this scholarship when you submit your application.

Family Scholarship

Lancaster University Leipzig offers Family Scholarships for siblings, spouses or children/parents studying concurrently at Lancaster University Leipzig.

This is an automatic €1,000 reduction of the entry year tuition for each first-degree family member.

MSc Degree Entry Scholarship

This scholarship is granted to applicants who qualify for any master’s programme offered by Lancaster University Leipzig.

International fee payers: €3,000

EU/UK fee payers: €1,000

How to Apply 

Your eligibility for the scholarship is assessed automatically by the admission department upon application submission and submission of the final academic qualifications. There is no need to apply as an extra step for this scholarship.

Management School MSc Merit Scholarship – October 2025 intake

Our Admissions Team will review applications based on submitted documents and against the official grading system. 

Who is eligible? 

• Applicants must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer from Lancaster University Leipzig for October 2025 entry. 
• Awardees must be classed as ‘International’ fee-paying students for tuition fee purposes, for the duration of their studies.

How to apply 

There is no separate application process for this Master’s Scholarship. Eligible students will be identified automatically through their University application. The scholarship is confirmed once Lancaster University Leipzig is in receipt of your final exam transcript.

Pre-Master's Early Acceptance Scholarship – October 2025 intake

Pre-Master's Business
(leading to MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management or MSc Management)

Available to international fee-paying applicants only.
€4,000 scholarship of the tuition fees if the offer is accepted by June 1st, 2025.

Pre-Master's Computer Science
(leading to MSc Cyber Security or MSc Data Science)

Available to international fee-paying applicants only.
Scholarship divided into two equal instalments: first half towards Pre-Master's, second half towards MSc upon successful progression from Pre-Master's.
€7,000 scholarship of the tuition fees (€3,500 each year) if the offer is accepted by June 1st, 2025.
€5,000 scholarship of the tuition fees (€2,500 each year) if the offer is accepted by July 1st, 2025.

How to Apply
You will be automatically considered for this scholarship when you submit your application and meet the conditions below by stated above deadline 

• Send completed and signed Acceptance Form, which can be found on page 4 of the Offer Letter. 
• Send proof of payment of minimum 25% of the Pre-Master’s programme tuition fees (tuition fee deposit*).
  *deposit is fully refundable until the official enrolment date

Alumni Loyalty Scholarship - Scholarship for all taught Master’s degrees if you are a Lancaster University graduate

Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Alumni Loyalty Scholarship you must hold an undergraduate or master’s degree awarded by Lancaster University, achieved at any time, including one delivered through an associated institution. Alumni who completed an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification that included Lancaster University as a study abroad location are also be eligible for the award.

Note: This Scholarship is for applicants joining Lancaster University Leipzig in October 2025. We review our scholarships each year, and cannot guarantee this funding will be available for applicants who decide to defer their place.
